The first part of the 2010 World Cup will be the group stage, which begins Friday. In the group stage, 32 teams are broken into eight separate four-team groups. Each group will participate in a round-robin style tournament that will give each team three games. During the group stage, each win is assigned three points, each draw is assigned one point and each loss is assigned zero points.

Use the "Points" field at the top of this bracket to keep a tally of each team's total points during the group stage. The team with the most points wins its group, but if two teams end up with the same number of points, tie-breakers will be used to determine the winner. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage.

The next part of the World Cup is the Knockout Stage, which begins June 26, 2010. The Knockout Stage is a traditional 16-team, single-elimination tournament similar to the NCAA tournament (for American fans). The only difference is that the semi-finals losers will play a game after being knocked out of the tournament to determine third and fourth places.
