(From Getty | Marvel)After two Kick-Ass movies, Aaron Taylor-Johson is set to play a character with real-deal super powers. According to the latest casting news from The Wrap, Taylor-Johnson has signed on to play Quicksilver in next year's The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

For those unfamiliar, Quicksilver, aka Pietro Maximoff, is the super fast son of Magneto, and his sister is the Scarlet Witch. While the Scarlet Witch will reportedly be in the movie, Magneto will not, but even this minor overlap into the X-Men universe has reportedly ruffled some feathers at Fox, which owns the film rights to the X-Men. In fact, Quicksilver will also appear in the much anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he'll be played by American Horror Story alum Evan Peters.

While Taylor-Johnson has long been rumored to be the frontrunner for Quicksilver in the next Avengers movie, his deal finally came through after ensuring his promotional duties for the upcoming Godzilla reboot wouldn't overlap with Age of Ultron's production schedule.
