After last year's technical problems, Adele was definitely looking for a smoother performance this year. Unfortunately, her tribute to George Michael started off rather bumpy, but the talented singer quickly took charge and asked to restart.

“I know it’s live TV. . . I’m sorry for swearing, and I’m sorry for starting again. I can't do it like I did it last year,” Adele said after abruptly stopping her cover of George Michael's popular song “Fastlove.”

She also apologized profusely for accidentally cursing.

This was the second time Adele took the stage to perform. Dressed in all black this time, she was also sporting cross earrings that were a sweet homage to George Michael. Thankfully it all worked out after she started over, and the crowd was quick to give Adele a standing ovation at the end.

Check out how it went down below.
