The first trailer for Joss Whedon's indie version of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing
has hit the web, and it's every bit as charming as we were hoping it would be.
Shot at the director's home in Santa Monica over the course of 12 days, the black and white low-budget movie stars Whedon favorites Amy Acker
and Alexis Denisof
as Beatrice and Benedick. The movie also features fellow Whedon-ites Nathan Fillion
as Dogberry, Reed Diamond
as Don Pedro, and Clark Gregg
as Leonato. Much Ado About Nothing
opens nationwide on June 7. Press play to check out the appealing trailer below, then hit the comments with your thoughts. Are you as excited as we are?
