If the last episode of American Horror Story: Cult truly revealed Ivy Mayfair-Richards to be a "clownz" sympathizer, could Kai be Ozzy's dad?
In "Neighbors From Hell," after Ivy and Ally hear Ozzy cursing from upstairs, they run up only to find him sitting at a computer. Ivy is sure he hasn't discovered anything too bad because, hello, parental controls. In a shocking revelation, however, Ozzy has figured out her password: Clownz.
Clowns. "Clowns" with a "z." Clowns, as in Ally's masked attackers, and the fearsome party attractions Kai has adopted as his cult's mascot.
Making matters even worse, Ozzy has discovered some pretty scandalous video footage of Ivy with Winter in the bath tub. Ivy thinks Ally is cheating on her with the nanny, and she's officially done. She makes a big show of her reaction, claiming she's ready to leave the house, and Ally, for good. Conveniently, in all the craziness, Ally doesn't have the chance to ask Ivy why her computer password just so happens to be her wife's biggest fear.
If it's true that Ivy is behind all the horrible things happening to Ally, she's likely closer to Kai and Winter than any of us realized. While Ivy and Ally have been together long enough that they're both the only parental figures Ozzy knows, the child has a noticeable preference for Ivy. This became especially obvious in episode 2, when Ozzy ran away from Ally and into "mom" Ivy's arms after his clown-filled night terror. Could it be that Ivy was, or is, Kai's partner?
Even if Ivy is not Ozzy's biological mom, the identity of his father is a real mystery. As some fans have pointed out, he bears resemblance to both Ivy and Kai. Also, the first time Winter babysat him, she specifically asked him if he knew who his dad was. If Ozzy wasn't important to Kai, what reason would he have to ask Winter to get close to him? Additionally, Ozzy's full name is "Ozymandias," an old English sonnet synonymous with the term "king of kings." It's a name that sounds right up Kai's ally.
The last possibility is that Ozzy isn't biologically related to anyone we've met in Cult, and his parentage has no bearing on the story. After all, Ally and Ivy are Ozzy's moms. That's all the kid really needs to know. But we can't shake a sneaking suspicion that the topic will come up as time goes on.
