
Amy Mainzer
Dr. Amy Mainzer (born 1974) is an American astronomer, specializing in astrophysical instrumentation and galactic astronomy. She has appeared on the History Channel's awesome series, 'The Universe' and is a favorite among the geek set. She has taught astrophysics at U.C. Berkeley, the California Polytechnic, and at the University of Hawaii (2006). She is the former Associate Director of the Advanced Research Fund at the NASA Goddard Institute for Near-Earth Object Studies (2010), and the Principal Investigator on the New Horizons Deep Hyperspace Probe Mission....
