(Photo by Scott Halleran/Getty Images) more pics » Los Angeles, CA (December 8, 2008)- Professional golfer Anna Rawson earned her full LPGA tour card for 2009 this past Sunday after a week of solid golf at LPGA Qualifying School in Daytona Beach, firing 71, 71, 68, 71 and 71. Over five rounds, Rawson shot under par every day. On Friday, she hit 18 greens and never shot over over par. She finished 12th overall. I am most excited to again have the opportunity to compete against the best in the world," said Rawson of her entry into the LPGA. When asked how she would celebrate, Rawson replied " I will have a glass of champagne on my flight to Dubai", where she will play next week in Annika's last event the 2008 Dubai Ladies Masters.
The Australian 27 year-old is a columnist with a syndicated golf tip column in over 20 countries around the world, she walks in runway shows, such as for Chanel and Escada, and she represents and consults for Swedish Designer J Lindeberg's women's golf line. She does all of this to help raise the profile of women's golf.
Anna has been a stellar golf talent since she was 13, as well as a much sought-after model. After being a finalist in the National Dolly Magazine Cover Girl Contest, Anna began her modeling career. Anna graduated from USC where she took her college team to win their first National Championship, before turning pro in golf. Anna recently placed Top Ten at the Bell Micro LPGA Classic Tournament in Mobile, Alabama. She lives in Los Angeles, CA.
