Vogue's
Anna Wintour was noticeably absent from the last several days of Paris Fashion Week, missing out on several big-name shows (perhaps front row staples
Rihanna and
Katy Perry were filling in on standby). It's since been rumored that, in the wake of Condé Nast's shuttering of four magazines, Vogue's editors were been holed up in their hotel rooms on urgent conference calls about cost-cutting measures.
But Anna's already exhibiting some recession restraint: she has now been spotted on more than one occasion recycling items from her extensive wardrobe. First there was the Carolina Herrera dress (left) that she wore to both the CFDA Fashion Awards in June and on a Letterman appearance in August.
The came fashion week after fashion week, with the following repeats (note also the shoes):
It's good to see that a well-made snakeskin jacket makes such a versatile wardrobe staple. Sigh.
