Wintour could pay someone's salary with the amount raised by her internship.
Someone really wanted to spend a week in the company of
Anna Wintour.
The
Vogue editor-in-chief donated a week-long internship at her beloved magazine to benefit the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights. Just yesterday, the bids had reached $13,000. Today, the auction closed with a winning bid of $42,500, about the price for most new BMWs.
That $42,500 also paid for a DVD of
The September Issue, a handful of
Vogue books, and tickets to a show at New York's Fashion Week.
At this point, Anna should institutionalize the week-long internship auction; she'd singlehandedly save the publishing industry and never have to lay anyone off again.
