TV Casting Scoop: 'Scandal' Finds Its First Kids, a New Gig for 'Happy Endings' Dude

Scandal has found its First Kids. Fitz and Mellie's eldest offspring, Jerry and Karen, will be played by Dylan Minnette and Madeline Carroll. Minette has appeared on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Awake, Lost, and Grey’s Anatomy; Carroll has also had guest star stints in Grey's and Lost, along with fellow Shonda Rhimes series Private Practice. Fringe alum Lance Reddick will guest star on NBC's The Blacklist as "The Cowboy," an asset of Red's. The Blacklist is currently on hiatus but will return after the Olympics on Feb. 24. [TVGuide]

• Fox has now hired the entire male cast of ABC's erstwhile comedy Happy Endings. Zachary Knighton will join Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl) and Adam Pally (The Mindy Project) on Fox in the comedy pilot Weird Loners, which tells the story of four relationship-phobic people who are unexpectedly thrust into one another’s lives and form an unlikely bond in a townhouse in Queens, NY. Knighton is also set to recur on NBC's cryfest Parenthood as a new teacher who Julia might have her eye on. [TVLine]

Once Upon a Time has cast Eric Lange, who played Lost's Stuart Radzinsky, as the Young Prince Leopold. The younger version of Snow White's pop will appear in the 18th episode of the season alongside Rose McGowan and Eva Bourne, who will return as Young Cora and Young Eva, respectively. [E! Online]

• Ryan Howard is coming to Greendale! B.J. Novak, who played the self-obsessed employee on The Office, will guest star in an upcoming episode of Community. He'll appear in the Season 5 finale as “a TV star in a sexy new series." [EW]

• CBS' The Millers is getting a little help from Conan's right-hand man. Andy Richter will appear in a spring episode of the Will Arnett comedy as Doug, a coworker who Nathan befriends in an attempt to improve his social status around the news station. [TVLine]

Gossip Girl alum John Shea will star opposite Sharon Stone in TNT's new drama pilot Agent X, about America's first female Vice President (Stone), who learns that the job also involves protecting the Constitution in times of crisis. Shea will play the President to Stone's VP. [TVGuide]

• Remember Mistresses, ABC's ridiculously soapy slice of fun? It'll be back this summer and it'll be hotter than ever thanks to the casting of General Hospital alum Jason Gerhardt who shows up to romance Alyssa Milano's Savi (duh, she's totally going to survive that coma). [TVLine]
