After a scene in Star Wars: The Last Jedi between Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) and the terrifying villain Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (Adam Driver), Star Wars fans started the "Kylo Ren Challenge" on social media. What is it? Well, it's basically when you put up a shirtless photo of yourself wearing black, high-waisted pants. But it wasn't until musician John Mayer decided to join the challenge and upload a photo of himself and his inner Kylo Ren to his Instagram that the challenge really started to go viral.
Since then, the internet has been flooded with topless Kylo Ren-inspired selfies:
Puppies got in on the fun, too.
And last but not least:
Mayer, who is known for joining internet challenges and participating in viral trends, is currently touring with Dave Chappelle and their "Controlled Danger" Tour. Chappelle also made headlines with his recent comment on the harassment allegations against Louis C.K.
To end this with a quote by John Mayer after his Ice Bucket Challenge back in 2013: "'Til next internet viral sensation."
