It's not even February and yet we already have a new James Bond rumor to obsess over.
In a new interview with The Daily Beast, dog lover Tom Hardy chatted about fatherhood, his new FX series Taboo, and the potential for a Mad Max: Fury Road sequel (yes, please!). Hardy also managed to slip a hint that he may or may not be in the running for the role of the next James Bond.
When asked by the reporter whether he had any interest in portraying 007, this was his very cryptic response:
It remains to be seen whether Tom Hardy is genuinely gunning for the role, or whether he's just messing with the reporter. (Our bets are on the latter, but a girl can dream.) This isn't the first time Tom Hardy has tried to keep the rumor mill at bay with cryptic responses this year. He recently tried to deny rumors that he'll be cameoing as a stormtrooper in the upcoming Star Wars, similar to what Daniel Craig did in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Only time will tell which of these rumors shake out to be true. Until then, Tom Hardy, keeper of secrets.
