Okay, so Premium Rush may not end up being the smash hit Speed was, but you never know. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Shannon lead the way in this new action thriller due out August 24. Scott, Anderson, Murray Oscar bound?

  • Snow White and the Huntsman is ruling the box office and the film is beautiful looking. However, another movie opening this weekend trumps it. Prometheus stands as the marquee technical film of 2012 thus far. It may get a run for its money from The Dark Knight Rises, but nominations for visual effects, sound, and sound editing are on the Also on Zimbio:
    horizon for the Ridley Scott thriller.
  • It's official, Moonrise Kingdom is the best reviewed film of the year so far which makes it an early front-runner for Best Picture. We've had it on our prediction list all year and director Wes Anderson did not disappoint with his tale of young love.
  • There's significant Oscar buzz around Bill Murray and it's not for Moonrise Kingdom. After the first trailer debuted a few weeks ago for Hyde Park on Hudson, in which Murray plays Franklin Roosevelt, talk really heated up. Check out the trailer below and judge for yourself if the wily old veteran looks Oscar-worthy.
