USA Today, Boy George (real name: George O'Dowd) is on trial for falsely imprisoning a man named Audun Carlsen, a 29-year-old escort whom he suspected of hacking into his computer.

Reuters reported that Carlsen came over for a pornographic photo shoot, and Boy George thought he was stealing the photos off his computer to put on his website. Naturally, the only sensible thing to do from there was to handcuff him to the bed. Carlsen also said that Boy George beat him with a chain, but George denies that charge ("You can't spank anyone if they don't want you to.")
I absolutely admit I had him in the handcuffs, so he wouldn't go anywhere while I checked the computer. I certainly wasn't going to kill him, that's hardly going to do my career any good is it? I was just so angry. It wasn't about me doing anything, I just wanted to make sure he did not leave my house. Carlsen unscrewed the hook he was handcuffed to and finally escaped from Boy George's house. Evidently he did have some injuries, mostly cuts, bruises and some puffiness around his eyes. The case is still going on.
