Kelly Clarkson! The country superstar welcomed her first child with husband
Brandon Blackstock this week and just shared the good news with the world.
"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)" she wrote Saturday
on Twitter.
It's an adorable, earthy name, don't you think? The couple had it picked out long before their little girl was born. She told
Ellen DeGeneres a few months ago: “Honestly, the name we’ve picked, if it’s a boy or a girl, it’s the same name. You won’t guess it. It’s a random name. But it’s not like … ‘Blue Jazz.’ It’s not going to be a weird name.”
Clarkson and Blackstock announced the exciting baby news in late 2013. This is the first child for Clarkson and the third for Blackstock, who's Reba McIntyre's stepson. He's already dad to daughter Savannah, 11, and son Seth, 7, from a previous marriage. It's going to be an epic Father's Day for him!
