In a blog post on her own website, Jenner joked that though she wanted to be glam and comfortable, she struggled with the latter. Corsets like the one she was wearing, after all, are not particularly known for their amicability.
She discussed her custom-made Versace dress, the creation of which was overseen by Donatella Versace herself. The 65-year-old was also very frank with her past struggles involving dyslexia, and shared that she "practiced, and practiced, and practiced, and practiced to make sure [she'd] nail it" despite having to use the teleprompter.
What might have been the most touching portion, though, was her appreciation for her family's presence and support.
Jenner has shared in the past that her transition was more difficult for certain family members than others, but that night they sat in the audience in full support.
Jenner also alluded to the dissonance she experiences when she hears herself speak.
The utter transparency demonstrated in this passage, coupled with a willingness to draw attention to an issue many transgender individuals experience is commendable, to say the least.
Jenner thanked all those who had played a part in her achievement, and left us with the same lovely message she's stuck to since the beginning of her journey.
