'American Idol' Tour Not Coming to a City Near You

The hits just keep coming for American Idol (and not the good kind that top the charts). First, last month's Idol finale saw the biggest drop in viewers in the history of the show. Then Idol parted ways with 75 percent of its judging panel (Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and longtime Idol stalwart Randy Jackson. Now, the struggles are extending beyond the show itself and into the franchise's other properties.

Due to waning interest, the American Idol Live tour has canceled 10 dates. Since the show's beginning, the final 10 contestants hit the road for a North American concert series, but the tepid response to the most recent season caused promoter AEG to back out of a fourth of the tour's initial 40-show run. That's bad news for season 12's top-10 Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor, Curtis Finch Jr., Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos, Paul Jolley, Aubrey Cleland, and winner Candice Glover.

Affected cities are as follows:
St. Louis, MO
Kansas City, MO
Minneapolis, MN
Detroit, MI
Rosemont, IL
Tulsa, OK
Broomfield, CO
Las Vegas, NV
Oakland, CA
Ontario, CA
