Game of Thrones fans were devastated when Ygritte died before she could reconcile with her long-lost love, Jon Snow. Now, in some small way, it's all worked out because Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are married! The couple, who met on the set of the hit HBO drama in 2012, tied the knot on Saturday, June 23 at Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland. The ceremony was ridiculously romantic, and reportedly went down like a fairy tale. Sigh. If only Jon and his Wildling flame could have had a similar story.
Leslie, 31, wore a long-sleeved lace gown and a crown of flowers in her wavy bobbed hair. Harington, also 31, matched her in a black jacket, striped pants, and cream-colored vest. The two laughed and danced among their friends as attendees threw delicate ivory flowers toward them. The sun was out, the birds were chirping, and there was nothing red about this wedding.
That's right: Years later, Jon and Ygritte have finally gotten their happily ever after.
Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, and Williams, who portrays her sister Arya, arrived together.
Clarke, who is close with Leslie, arrived shortly thereafter, followed by Dinklage.
After the ceremony, Harington and Leslie celebrated with a reception at Wardhill Castle.
While Harington and Leslie dated on and off from 2012 to 2016, the two only made their relationship "official" when they walked the red carpet at the 2016 Olivier Awards in London. Harington proposed in September 2017.
Congratulations to these not so star-crossed lovers!
