The stars had a baby girl, but details are scarce. There's no word on the baby's name or time of birth, and it was just recently revealed the baby is, in fact, a little girl.
Kruger and Reedus met in 2015 while filming Sky. Their characters were romantically involved, and the duo promoted the movie together at the Toronto Film Festival before they confirmed their relationship in 2017.
Kruger dated another Sky co-star, Joshua Jackson, for a decade before the two called it quits in 2016.
Rumors started to circulate about Kruger's pregnancy earlier this year after the actress was seen in flowy outfits. She also avoided alcohol at the Cannes Film Festival, where she received the best actress award for her role in the German film In the Fade.
It wasn't until May that sources confirmed the pregnancy. It's always rare when a celebrity couple can keep their pregnancy secret, isn't it? Props to the duo.
Just this summer, Reedus and Christensen reunited to celebrate their son's graduation from high school. The couple split in 2003 after a longterm relationship, so the reunion was unanticipated.
At the end of July, after it was confirmed Reedus and Kruger were expecting a child, Christensen, reached out to give the new mother some advice.
"It may have been awkward in the beginning, but Diane and Helena have become really good friends," a source told Radar Online. "They bonded over the baby and Helena was thrilled when Norman told her the news."
"Helena and Diane talk several times a week and love going shopping for baby stuff," the insider added. "They were casual acquaintances on the NY social circle for years so who knew they’d end up so close."
Reedus is one of the most seasoned stars of The Walking Dead and it was recently revealed that list is being trimmed even more. The Walking Dead killed off one main character in its Season 9 premiere earlier this month, and a separate actor is set to make his exit soon.
Andrew Lincoln, AKA Rick Grimes, will have his swan song in an upcoming episode of the series, airing November 4, 2018. Soon, Reedus will be one of the only original stars left.
Watch the trailer for Rick's final episode below.
Reedus recently spoke to Deadline about The Walking Dead and his future on the show.
When he was asked about Lincoln's exit and the series' declining ratings, he said, "Some bands are heavy on lead guitar and it's just guitar solos forever and you know, the rest of the band isn't getting the chance to play. Now, we got new singers. we got new guitarists and I really feel that the show's the best it's ever been. We're making the show that we want to make right now and you can feel it on set, you can feel it all over the place."
"I really feel the scripts and the stories and the episodes are even better in the back eight, I really do," Reedus continued. "They're f***ing epic, you know, and they're just crushing and they're severe, all of them. The show's morphing into something else but it's got the heart and the feel of the original show, there's just new life breathing through it."
It seems the actor couldn't be more thrilled about the direction of the series.
Here's hoping he stays on for years to come.
