You've Never Seen Channing Tatum Quite Like This

(Sony Pictures Classics)For Channing Tatum, Foxcatcher might be just what the actor needs to take his career to the next level. The second trailer for his new film, due out November 14th, plays like an Awards Season preview as the Magic Mike star slaps, punches, and beats himself as former Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz. Time will tell if Tatum has the chops to curry Oscar voters' favor but he's already one of Hollywood's most-beloved leading men and he's only gotten better with age. 

We've seen hardcore intensity from Tatum before in movies like Fighting and The Eagle, but I think we can all agree those flicks aren't even in the same universe, critically-speaking, as Foxcatcher, which is directed by the great Bennett Miller (Capote, Moneyball). It's already being hailed as the film to see come Awards Season this year, and Tatum is a big reason why. Foxcatcher also stars Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo, Sienna Miller, Vanessa Redgrave, and Anthony Michael Hall. See the trailer below.
