These words hold a different weight in the wake of the numerous sexual misconduct allegations brought against the show’s leading man, Kevin Spacey. As a result, production was suspended in October 2017, and the fate of House of Cards seemed uncertain and bleak. However, the series has attempted to rebuild itself for one last season amidst the fallout of the Spacey scandal.
This week, Netflix will resume shooting the eighth episode of the show’s sixth and final season. In fact, House of Cards has added Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as supporting cast members in an effort to spice things up and garner more positive attention.
Lane and Kinnear’s characters will play siblings on the revamped series, but it’s unclear how they are connected to Robin Wright’s badass character, Claire Underwood. As expected, Claire will now become the central focus of House Cards. The Netflix series was inspired and adapted from Michael Dobbs’ trilogy, and Frank actually dies in the books. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a stretch to kill Frank off on the show. We know someone who would totally be up to the task...
