One heroic Twitter employee made headlines on Thursday after deactivating Donald Trump's account. The employee, as yet unidentified, reportedly shut down the reality TV star's Twitter access in honor of his or her last day of work. In other words, we are not worthy.

Regrettably, the deactivation was short-lived, taking place around 4 p.m. PST and lasting for approximately 11 minutes. In the absence of thousands of Trump's witty 140-word nuggets, this page was presented:

Understandably, Trump's brief ban from the platform raised questions. Had the Twitter powers that be finally had enough of his nuclear tomfoolery? Alas, the site was quick to explain away the deactivation as "human error."

"Earlier today @realdonaldtrump’s account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee," the site wrote. "The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again."

Shortly afterward, Twitter clarified the deactivation was less "human error" and more human decency.

"Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day," it wrote. "We are conducting a full internal review."

Here's hoping the employee in question eventually goes public so that he or she may be properly celebrated.
