Ever wondered how Once Upon a Time's Captain Hook, Regina, and Emma got their faces? In a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood, the actors behind the roles opened up about their casting experiences.
Fans will be surprised to hear that Colin O'Donoghue, who plays Hook, believed he had no chance at nabbing the role: "They're never gonna cast me," he recalled assuming.
Lana Parrilla casually described reading a couple scenes and "scaring the hell" out of show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz in order to win her part as Regina Mills, while Rebecca Mader's prior friendship with the men led to her role as Zelena.
Jennifer Morrison rounded out the interviews, divulging that she became Emma Swan after reading the show's script, which she said she "couldn't put down," and Kitsis and Horowitz shared their experience turning Once Upon a Time into a reality, explaining the pitch that got them its pilot.
Once Upon a Time's special 100th episode airs Sunday, March 6 on ABC.
