Blake Lively Is Getting Back in the Movie Making Game

Blake Lively is heading back to the big screen.

Since becoming Mrs. Ryan Reynolds in 2012, the former Gossip Girl star has put her acting career on hold. But now she's returning with a lead role in The Age of Adaline, Deadline reports.

Lively will star alongside Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn as a beautiful woman living in the 20th century who stops aging after a near-fatal accident. She keeps her situation a secret until she meets a man who forever changes her life.

Katherine Heigl was originally cast for the role, but dropped out in November 2010. After first reporting that the actress was fired from the project, Deadline revealed she withdrew for reasons that are still unknown.
