For Fifty Shades of Grey fans, Valentine's Day will likely include chocolate, champagne, and a trip to the theater to see Christian and Anastasia go at it in HD. But, so far, the first glimpses of the movie have, uh, underperformed.
Sure, the first trailer was one of the most-watched of 2014, but we have yet to see anything that really gets us excited for the steamy flick. We're hoping it's just because trailers have to be PG and the "good stuff" is being reserved for the big screen.
Regardless, it's now apparent that even if an S&M love story isn't your thing, you should give the movie's soundtrack a shot at least. The new Ellie Goulding tune "Love Me Like You Do" is the best thing about the movie so far.
"You're the light, you're the night, you're the color of my blood/ You're the cure, you're the pain, you're the only thing I want to touch." YES.
Add that to the slow, seductive version of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" from the trailer and The Weeknd's "Earned It" and we have ourselves the start of one fantastic soundtrack. Ten bucks (most likely) for all the tunes easily trumps spending that much on a movie ticket and two hours of your life you'll never get back.
