Rule number 11 of Zombieland: enjoy the little things — especially the fact that Zombieland 2 may finally be happening.
During 2016 CinemaCon, Sony unveiled a logo for the sequel for the very first time. While the project is solidified and we can all do the happy zombie dance, we've been provided little to no detail otherwise, like whether the film's original cast will return.
2009's Zombieland was the zombie movie for non-zombie lovers; it brought together both horror aficionados and humor enthusiasts for the ultimate in zombie comedy.
Starring Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin, Zombieland has become one of the few films to successfully navigate the world of apocalyptic comedy — a close second being 2013's Warm Bodies.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the film's original creators, are attached to the sequel. We're hoping this means the second installment that the fans deserve, and not the half-assed attempt we often see in the case of sequels.
After all, Rule number two of Zombieland: Double-Tap. Just to be sure you've killed it.
