Sewage Plant Renaming Would Commemorate Bush's Messy Presidency

Come November, San Francisco voters will be asked to vote on a measure that would name a sewage plant after President George W. Bush .

That's right, the crappiest president ever would be remembered within the (quite literally) crappiest facility in San Francisco.

The Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco has said it wants to rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant in commemoration of the mess Bush has made of his presidency.

On Thursday, July 17, 2008 it was announced the group received enough signatures on its petition to place the measure on the ballot. That leaves it up to San Franciscans to possibly rename a public facility for the sole purpose of satirical criticism of George W. Bush -- and if you ask me, it's simply brilliant.

Not only is this an excellent way for a large voter group to express its collective outrage over the Bush presidency, but it's political humor at its finest: biting, to the point and unforgiving.
