Prime Minister Gordon Brown has THIS guy make his suits? It takes him 8 weeks and costs more than 3500 GBP (or $6535). Dude, someone should tell him that in Brooklyn, there’s this guy that has a truckload of suits that he got from his brother’s friend and we can hook him up for cheap.

Brown is having what’s called a “bespoke” suit made for him. I’m sure all his suits are bespoke. Many people think the term means tailor-made by custom measurement, but they’re wrong. It’s actually a really old term that means “been spoken for” because rich old English guys would go to their tailor, pick out an entire length of material before the work of suit making would begin. That material had then “been spoken for.”

Today, it’s a term used by what many people refer to as “douche bags.”
