Damn, that was fast.
After the high-profile and controversial departures of Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim, Hawaii Five-0 is ready to move in a different direction. In fact, three stars have been given lead roles for the procedural drama which is heading into Season 8. Ian Anthony Dale — who already plays Kono’s husband, Adam — is being promoted to a series regular. In Season 8, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) will recruit Adam to work for Five-0 since Adam has always been a trusted and resourceful confidante.
Meaghan Rath (Being Human) will portray Tani Rey — a hotel lifeguard who has been kicked out of the Police Academy despite being a top-tier candidate. Meanwhile, Beulah Koale will play Junior Reigns — a former Navy SEAL who asks McGarrett for a job after recently returning home from duty.
