Comedian Howie Mandel is obviously super excited to accept his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Or at least it looks that way.
What many people may not know is that Mandel suffers from two psychological conditions, obsessive-compulsive disorder and mysophobia. He basically has a serious fear of germs and suffers from compulsive and obsessive tendencies.
Mandel avoids shaking hands, unless he's wearing latex gloves, and even shaved his head, because it makes him feel cleaner.
So, although Mandel is obviously excited to be receiving his star, he's most likely:
Straining to make sure only his suit touches the ground.
Wondering how many people have walked on the red carpet he's laying on.
Worried that his wife may not have brought those anti-bacterial wipes like he asked her to.
Mandel manages his condition through medication and hopes his celebrity brings more public awareness and understanding to OCD.
