Logan stars Hugh Jackman and 12-year-old Dafne Keen lit up the stage as they accepted the award for Best Duo at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday.
In their short time front and center, the twosome proved they were the worthiest of partners, bantering back and forth and making sure not to let either get away with any shenanigans.
"Thank you, thank you," Jackman began. "Listen, on behalf of—" when Keen cut him off.
"Hey hey," she piped up. "You do 17 years [as Wolverine], I don't speak for half of the movie, and you get to say the thank yous? OK, no."
So it's like that!
"Tonight I want to thank MTV and mom," Keen said. "Happy Mother's Day in Spain."
Keen confiscated Jackman's speech notes, going so far as to criticize him for one fatal mistake.
"You didn't write your parents here. He thanks mom and dad," she said.
The two ended their silly speech with a joint growl, as good friends tend to do.
Jackman and Keen won Best Duo over Adam Levine & Blake Shelton of The Voice, Daniel Kaluuya & Lil Rel Howery of Get Out, Brian Tyree Henry & Lakeith Stanfield of Atlanta, Josh Gad & Luke Evans of Beauty and the Beast, and Martha Stewart & Snoop Dogg of Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.
The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards airs on MTV 8 p.m. PST.
