It's hard to know what to believe when it comes to what famous people say about themselves. Are they cultivating an image? Is sarcasm lost in translation? Did I bother to dig for context? Who knows? But one thing we are sure of is that some celebrity statements make no sense. Now, we're not calling these quotes intentional lies... more like voluntary misrepresentations of truth and spontaneous exaggerations.
Lana Del ReyQuote: "I wish I was dead already." (via
The Guardian)
B.S. Alert: As tough as it is being rich and famous for making pop music, it's not the kind of thing that should inspire a death wish. Cheer up, Lana, you're still
young and beautiful.
Anna KendrickQuote: "Kendrick says she hasn't been hit on since
Up in the Air [i.e. five years ago], 'honest to God.'" (via
Elle)
B.S. Alert: If Anna Kendrick (a.k.a total-package-dream-girl) can't get a date, we're all screwed.
Mila KunisQuote: "Without being an asshole, I have to say, I love being pregnant." (via
Marie Claire)
B.S. Alert: According to our resident breeder, anyone who says pregnancy is a blast is full of it, because being pregnant means being sore, nauseous, tired, hormonal, hot, uncomfortable, bloated, and sober. Not to mention it all culminates in squeezing a human person out of your lady parts. There's nobody in the universe who truthfully "loves" that.
This woman would agree.
Kris JennerQuote:
(In reference to Jaden Smith showing up to her daughter's wedding in a white bat-suit.) "[Jaden] is the greatest kid in the world... he had this Batman costume on and I thought it was just genius. It was beautiful. He looked so good, and so fun, and he also has a really good sense of humor." (via
Us Weekly)
B.S. Alert: You lost us at "Jaden Smith" and "genius" being in the same sentence.

I mean, really?
