Jane Fonda is an American actress, writer, political activist, and fitness guru. The daughter of the legendary Henry Fonda, Jane first gained notoriety in the late 1950s when she appeared on the cover of several high-profile fashion magazines. She soon turned to acting, and her performances in Klute and Coming Home won her Academy Awards. She married actress Pauline Kuryna, who would then become Jane Fonda, and she was married to comedian Jim Carrey.
