Jason Momoa might have moved on to slaying the waves with his mighty trident, but he'll always be Khal Drogo in our hearts. Needless to say, we were thrilled when a new Instagram post spurred rumors Momoa will return for the final season of Game of Thrones. In the pic, shared Wednesday, May 30, the Aquaman star (AKA Khaleesi's one true love) sits and drinks beer with GoT showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss. The selfie was taken in Northern Ireland, where most of Thrones's scenes are filmed.
"Layovers. Where we going? What are we doing?" Momoa wrote like the harpy he is. "What’s the score here? What’s next?? Aloha j #motherland #paymyrespects #payhomage #somebodyordersomefuckinggolfshoes."
The actor also shared a video of himself on a plane with the GoT bosses.
"If you don’t know, now you know," he said.
Curiouser and curiouser.
We'll never stop holding out hope that Daenerys will reunite with her hunky hubby, but Momoa's trip to Ireland was probably just made to promote Guinness beer. His reunion with Benioff and Weiss was likely a bonus, since Guinness's parent company, Diageo, is also headquartered in the UK. Jim Sias, Diageo's director of PR and influencer marketing, shared a pic of Momoa and himself on Friday, June 1.
Momoa also shared a few posts promoting the brewery with the hashtag "homeofguinness."
WTH, Jason Momoa? Why do you insist on torturing us?
In the past, the actor has admitted Drogo's return would be complicated.
During an interview with EW, he said, "You just want to see your friends and you end up making headlines going, ‘Drogo’s back!’ and I’m like, ‘He’s dead! He can’t come back, it wouldn’t work.'"
On the other hand, Game of Thrones isn't known for sticking with what's practical. If Daenerys can walk through fire unscathed and attack agro ice men atop dragons, she should be able to bring her man back to life.
