A full year after Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced they would be divorcing, no paperwork has yet been filed. According to a report from Us Weekly, this may just mean the divorce the couple thought they wanted is no longer guaranteed.
"Jen mentioned that the divorce was going through very soon, and then a few weeks ago, things changed," claims a source from the site. "It does not seem to be moving in that direction."
While the twosome's summer 2015 split was largely rumored to be the result of "nannygate," or Affleck's alleged affair with the family's nanny, Garner has since put that speculation to rest. In February, the 44-year-old told Vanity Fair that while there was "poor judgment" involved, she and Affleck had been separated "for months" before she heard about it.
She also said that her husband was "the love of [her] life," and that he was a very "complicated" man.
As has been widely reported, Garner and Affleck continue to share their mansion, accompanying one another on their respective movie sets so as to maintain the normalcy of their kids' lives. They share three children: Violet Affleck, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, and son Samuel Garner Affleck.
Our hearts go out to the both of them, as no long-term relationship is easy. But maybe, just maybe, this one is here to stay?
