Remember when Joaquin Phoenix grew a massive beard, donned sunglasses and claimed to be serious about becoming the next big thing in hip-hop? Well here's a big non-surprise: it was all a hoax and now the Casey Affleck-directed mockumentary is being shopped to potential distributors.

All details about the fake documentary are being kept top secret to maximize the movie's shock value, but after so many people saw his infamously awkward interview with David Letterman last year, how shocking could it be?
Joaquin's fans, colleagues and even his director from the movie Two Lovers were kept in the dark as he unveiled his alter ego in October, 2008. The actor kept up the appearance on red carpets and at parties for about five months before retreating from the public eye after his Letterman appearance.
Now it looks like we'll finally see what he has up his sleeve. No word on when this thing will actually be released... or if anyone will want to see it.
