Joe Biden (b. Nov. 20, 1942) was Barack Obama's Democratic running mate in the 2008 Presidential election. He is currently the vice-president-elect for the United States. Biden also ran for reelection in the U.S. Senate against Christine O'Donnell (R) which he won. His replacement will be named by the Democratic governor of Delaware.
