Joey King is many things to many people. For movies buffs, she's the skilled prison child in The Dark Knight Rises, Steve Carell's daughter in Crazy, Stupid, Love, and the free spirit in Zach Braff's 2014 dramedy Wish I Was Here. For others, she's the actress who shares a super cool handshake with Hollywood heartthrob Channing Tatum. For us here at Zimbio, she's a star on the rise. In honor of her new film Stonewall, Roland Emmerich's drama about the 1969 Stonewall Riots, the good-humored actress revealed everything you ever wanted to know about her.
Actor you wouldn't mind being for a day:
Best character you've ever played and why:
I'm going to give you two of my favorite characters because of how polar opposite they are: My character Grace in Wish I Was Here because of her sweet simplicity and intelligence, and my character Freddie in one of my most recent films, Smartass because of how rebellious and outspoken she is.
Caption this photo, please:
"When someone Channings all over your Tatum?!?!?!"

I like big butts and I cannot lie.
Embarrassing story you're ready to share with the world:

Favorite actor you've ever worked with and why:
This is going to sounds like such a generic answer, but I've worked with so many talented actors over the years ranging from James Franco to Matthew Modine to Judd Hirsch THAT I LITERALLY CAN'T CHOOSE.
GIF that accurately describes how you feel today:
Finding a bag of nacho cheese Doritos and every chip had the perfect amount of cheesy goodness.
Imagine life in ten years. What does that look like?
I have a lot of goals that I want to accomplish, but I'm truly in no rush. Life in ten years looks like life to me. I try not to fret about the future too much.
Job you'd have if you weren't an actress:
I definitely would've loved to take up an occupation in the medical field.

One thing fans should look out for in Independence Day: Resurgence:
There's a ton of new and exciting characters that the audience will absolutely fall in love with, and, of course, some old characters returning. AND SO MUCH ACTION I CANT. I can't wait for people to see it, it's going to be so incredible.
Person you admire most:
My mom and sisters.
Question you'd ask a historic figure and who would you ask?
I would ask Pythagoras why he founded a religion that forbade people to eat beans.
Revelations you've had about Hollywood since you started acting:
There's a lot of good and a lot of bad in Hollywood and as long as you stick with nice people, have pride in your work, and have a good family then you'll be fine.
Song you've been listening on repeat lately:
"Renegades" by X-Ambassadors.

Up-and-coming band you hope blows up soon(ish):
I'm slightly selfish in the way that when I find a new band that I really like, I want to keep them all to myself.
Vine video that never fails to crack you up:
Weirdest thing you've ever had to do on camera:
Weirdest thing? Probably shave my head.
Since we will not ask for your favorite "X word," we will simply ask for your shameless plug here:
Right now I'm filming a movie called Going in Style starring Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Alan Arkin. It's directed by Zach Braff. I play Michael's granddaughter and my character is a super fly softball player! Also coming to theaters on September 25th is Stonewall, a movie I did that's directed by Roland Emmerich. It's about the Stonewall Riots in 1969 and it's truly a beautiful film. I'm unbelievably proud and honored to be part of it.
YouTube video that never fails to crack you up:
"Pitbull Is Sad" from Jenna Marbles.
If you didn't know Zimbio was an entertainment site, what would you think "a Zimbio" was?
