The musical force is strong with these performers!
On Tuesday night's episode of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon and his house band, The Roots, joined the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens to sing an a cappella rendition of the franchise's infamous theme song. The eclectic group of singers included stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, and Adam Driver.
The end product is spectacular, and this is easily one of the best versions of composer John Williams' iconic score. Although the theme has no lyrics, it didn't stop these A-list performers from totally slaying their unique rendition. The Roots provided layered backup vocals, thus allowing everyone else to chime in at different moments of the swelling main title. With special appearances from R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, Chewie, and the Stormtroopers, this is exactly the kind of pick-me-up you need to make your day even better.
