The chicken shirt has made its grand return!
The Roseanne revival's new opening sequence has finally been revealed, and diehard fans of the '90s sitcom are sure to be pleased. While there are plenty of elements that play to nostalgia — that fab harmonica, the Conner dinner table, and bird attire galore — the family has certainly grown up.
In the sequence, Roseanne, Dan, and the rest of the crew enjoy a takeout meal. After Jackie is revealed, Darlene's son, Mark, and daughter, Harris, make their entrances. Becky, D.J., and his daughter Mary follow. When Mary tries to take some of Roseanne's meal, the matriarch licks it to a chorus of Dan's hearty laughter.
In other words, not much has changed.
The new Roseanne premieres Tuesday, March 27 on ABC.
