Is Lyanna Stark Jon Snow's mother? Game of Thrones, HBOOne of the great unsolved questions in Game of Thrones is
"Who is Jon Snow's mother?". Could it be Ashara Dayne of the House Dayne? Or maybe Wylla, the wet nurse at Starfall? One of the most popular fan theories states that Jon's biological mother is Ned's sister, Lyanna Stark. But that theory also claims that Ned isn't in fact Jon's biological father - but rather his uncle.
Who is Jon Snow's mother? HBO
What if Lyanna wasn't truly 'abducted' and raped by Rhaegar Targaryen (as Robert Baratheon claimed) but instead ran away with him. If they had conceived a child, that child would be exactly Jon's age. The child would have been in great danger at the time. At the end of Robert’s rebellion Robert tried to kill off all of the Targaryen children. Did Lyanna ask Ned to protect her son by pretending the baby was his own bastard?
It is noteworthy that Ned himself never explicitly says that Jon Snow is his son. When Catelyn asks about Jon, Ned shuts down the conversation by saying:
Never ask me about Jon. He is my blood, and that is all you need to know.
Bloodline is shared with father or uncle...
