In case you've been wondering what Disney intends to do with the rights to Indiana Jones after buying Lucasfilm, wonder no more! They do intend to make a movie... sometime. So says Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy in a new interview with Vanity Fair. But that's pretty much all she said.
She told VF, the movie "will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."
Kennedy has been a key player in developing Disney's new plans for the Star Wars universe. She's worked closely with both Steven Spielberg and George Lucas since the early 80s. If she says the movie still needs a script, that means any casting rumors you may hear about are still just rumors. It's not like Chris Pratt has this thing on lockdown yet. But at least we know the movie will happen, which is perhaps Disney's ultimate tease.
