Pop star Katy Perry
dropped quite a few jaws at Monday's Met Gala, taking to the red carpet in a battery-operated light-up dress from France's Cute Circuit
on fashion's biggest night of the year. Perry, who could have had her pick of designer gowns, told StyleList,
"I respect and appreciate Anna Wintour, but I'm doing this for me."
"That's what people should do, especially when they're representing true women in American fashion," Perry explained. The quirky singer noted a panic button nestled in her cleavage, saying, "If Anna comes over and says 'shut that f-ing thing off' I'll do it."
Maybe Anna had words with Perry. The gown was off by dinnertime.
