In perhaps the first time we've ever seen someone get emotional after winning an MTV Movie Award, The Hangover
star Ken Jeong
took a moment to pay tribute to his wife Tran, who recently battled and overcame breast cancer.
After accepting the award on behalf of his "penis," Jeong abruptly became serious, saying: "Todd Philips and Bradley Cooper helped me through a really difficult time when my wife was going through breast-cancer treatment," said Jeong, 40, who won an award for "Best WTF Moment." "The reason why I did this is that she taught me that life is short, and don't be afraid to take chances."
Speaking to reporters after his win, Jeong said: "She is the brave one, my best friend, my inspiration. I’m just really grateful. Todd Phillips is a great friend, and Bradley Cooper is a really good friend. In all seriousness, they got me through a really tough time and I don’t think everyone knows what great guys Todd and Bradley were. They’re great. She’s cancer free for two years now. This whole night is actually celebrating her.”
