Someone new is entering a galaxy far, far away.

On Wednesday, Laura Dern stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss her latest film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The Emmy-winning actress portrays Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo who was blatantly missing in the movie’s latest trailer. Fortunately, Dern provided fans with a fresh look at her purple-haired Resistance leader.

In the Instagram photo, the vice admiral is seen in all her violet glory while being surrounded by members of the Resistance and a BB-unit.

Although Dern remained tight-lipped about particular character details, she did tell Ellen DeGeneres what it was like working on the forthcoming Star Wars film.

“[It was] the greatest experience of my life,” Dern said, before adding, “See, I am in Star Wars! I told you guys!”

Earlier this year, we got a first look at the character in a Vanity Fair photo shoot, but this is the best and closest look yet at the vice admiral. It’s safe to say that she’s the most colorful character in the franchise!
