NBC Renews 'Hannibal' for a Second Season

NBC wants seconds of Hannibal.

The network announced on Thursday that it has picked up Bryan Fuller's gory serial killer drama for a second season. The tale of FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his shrink/secret cannibal Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) has proven a steady favorite with viewers hungry for some late-season scares. Hannibal will return during the midseason for another 13-episode run.

“We’re so proud of Bryan’s vision for a show that is richly textured, psychologically complex, and very compelling,” NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said in a statement. “There are many great stories still to be told.”
