In Fox's new supernatural series, the Devil decides to take a vacation from his duties in Hell to help the LAPD solve mysterious. Hey, even the devil needs a hobby. Lucifer, which premieres tonight, stars Tom Ellis (Miranda, Rush) as the playful and roughish keeper of the underworld, a man who seems more interested in driving cool cars, flirting with women, and having a bloody good time than wreaking serious earthly havoc.
Stepping into the role of Lucifer Morningstar's devoted ally Maze is South African actress Lesley-Ann Brandt. Fans will surely recognize her as Copperhead on Gotham and Naevia from Starz's Spartacus. The actress answered our 26 burning questions and revealed all the campy fun we can expect when the offbeat procedural premieres.
Actor you admire most:
Sounds like a cliche, but Meryl Streep. That’s how good she is. She is a cliche and the ultimate chameleon.
Best TV or movie devil:
Duh, Tom Ellis.
Co-star that cracks you up the most:
Hands down Rachael Harris.
Describe Maze in one sentence:
The ultimate badass who is the best friend you’ve always wanted and the enemy you’ll hope to never have.
Embarrassing childhood memory:
My grandfather told me that if I ran around a pole fast enough, I would run into my own arse. I spent quite some time attempting it, much to his delight. I was 5. I believed anything he told me.
Fun fact about the making of Lucifer:
Tom, D.B. Woodside, and I trained with Diana Lee Inosanto to prepare for our fight sequences. She’s Bruce Lee’s goddaughter… No big deal.
GIF that accurately describes how you feel today:
Happy place:
A beach in summer.
If you could have one supernatural power what would it be?
To be able to fly.

Working for the UN or some kind of disaster relief organization.

"Bitch Better Have My Money" by Rihanna.

Truly, Madly, Deeply starring the late Alan Rickman. One of my faves.
Most interesting character you've played:
Maze in Lucifer.

It’s about damn time! We’ve worked so hard on this and I’m excited to share what we’ve been up to these past six months.
Person (fictional or real) you wouldn't mind being for a day:
Obama.
Question you get asked all the time:
“Hey, do you know who you look like, Halle Berry."
Revelations you've had about your Lucifer co-stars since you started working with them:
Lauren German has the dirtiest sense of humor and I love her for it. Tom does a pretty good South African accent. D.B. loves Justin Bieber and isn't ashamed to sing it from the rooftop. Rachael really is flexible. Kevin A. is hilarious when he is drunk. Kevin R. is hilarious when he is sober. Scarlett has a bigger movie career than all of us.
Song you'd feature on the soundtrack to your life:
“Fame” by David Bowie.
Three random things fans should expect to see in the first season of Lucifer:
A dude goes down on me while I casually talk to Lucifer. A priest walks into a bar...
literally, Kevin Alejandro wears pink ladies sweat pants in one of our episodes.

Black English.
Villain from the big or small screen you love to hate:
Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada.
Weirdest thing you've had to do on screen:
Give Lucy Lawless a hand job in Spartacus… Wait is there a theme here?(referencing T).
