The White House Correspondents' Dinner brought out the likes of fashion queens
Kate Hudson,
Eva Longoria and
Charlize Theron—all their usual stunning selves. But it was
Leslie Mann's floral gown that was the standout of the night.
Her Naeem Khan embroidered dress brought something new to the red carpet. As the editrix of
The Devil Wears Prada pointed out, florals for spring are certainly nothing groundbreaking, but this petal-emblazoned mermaid gown made of crisp taffeta is.
Leslie matched the liveliness of the vibrant number with a fuchsia trifecta: lips, clutch and heels. Her side-swept curled 'do also gave a nod to the seasonal change with its wind-tousled air. Perhaps the best part of this dress needs no explanation, just looking at it makes you smile. We can only imagine how she felt putting it on.
