Marc Jacobs Talking Move to Dior, Source Claims

Marc Jacobs (Bauer Griffin) WWD reports that Marc Jacobs is a frontrunner for one of the most talked-about positions in the fashion industry: Creative director of Christian Dior. The post has been vacant since the dismissal of John Galliano in February following allegations of anti-Semitism.

The move might make sense: Jacobs' contract with Louis Vuitton is up quite soon, and he has one of the most bankable names in the business. Other designers reportedly considered for the position include Alber Elbaz and Nicolas Ghesquiére, as well as Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton, who reportedly "rebuffed overtures" about the job.

If you were Marc Jacobs, would you jump the monogrammed LV ship for Dior?
