Mario Lopez Is a Dad!

Mario Lopez became a dad yesterday! He and girlfriend Courtney Mazza welcomed a little girl, Gia Francesca Lopez, Saturday, according to Us magazine. Mom and baby are happy and healthy.

"We are so overjoyed. What an amazing, wonderful and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter into the world," he said.

Baby Gia weighed in at 6 pounds, 4 ounces. Mario and Courtney decided not to find out prior to the birth if they were having a boy or girl.  "Where else in life do you get such special surprises?" Lopez said. "I hope with all our kids it will be a surprise."

He and Mazza, 28, met while co-starring in Broadway's A Chorus Line, and Mario says he hopes there are more little tykes to come down the road.  "As many as she'll give me," he said. "At least three!"
